Bonner, Iii
November 15, 1962 – October 8, 2022
Alfred "Al" Bonner, III was born on November 15, 1962 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the union of the late Alfred Bonner, Jr and Joyce Sims Gomez. On Saturday, October 8th, at 10:44 pm, at the young age of 59, the Lord called Alfred home to eternal rest at HCA Houston Healthcare Hospital West.
Al was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in New Orleans and has been employed with the New Orleans Hilton Riverside Hotel for over twenty-five years supervising food service and events. As a teen and young adult, he attended Beacon Light Baptist Church. In August 2005, as Hurricane Katrina rushed through New Orleans, he evacuated to Houston, Texas with his mother and two brothers and their families where he worked for Aramark company at events held at Minute Maid Park and NRG Stadium in Houston. Although he had no kids of his own, he made his rounds to his nieces and nephews by supporting their graduations, birthday parties and by coming out to watch them play ball. Until the final hour of his being, he spent several hours watching football with his brother.
