Obituary

Ary Jean (Day) Rogers entered into this life on October 1, 1948 in Liberty, Mississippi from the union of the the late Daniel Day and Josephine Maxwell Day. She accepted Christ in her life at an early age. She wa a 1967 graduate of Mckinley Senior High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Shortly after graduation, she attended and sucessfully graduated from the Albuqerque, New Mexico Job Corps. She wa a diligent, competent machine operator at Graphic Packaging International (formerly, Smurfit-Stone Container) on Kansas City, Missouri where she faithfully served for 31 years and retired in 2011. Ary was a member of Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO for many years and sung in the choir. In Ary's spare time, she enjoyed reading the Bible and other inspirational books, completing word searches, and taking care of the house such as cleaning, tending to house plants, and working in the yard. She also enjoyed watching her television shows such as westerns and America's Funniest Home Videos. Ary Jean was a nurturer, kind, and a strong, God-fearing womas who took care of others throughout her life. Ary Jean's journey on this earth ended as she peacefully passed on October 15, 2017. She now rests in God's kloving arms. She is now reunited in spirit with her parents: Daniel Day and Josephine Maxwell Day, brother, Daniel Day Jr., and sister Eddis Jean Day. he legacy lives on in the lives of ther daughters, Letitia and Shaunta Rogers of Kansas City, MO; sisters: Bernice Day of Baton Rouge, LA, Mary Jeannette Williams of Houston, TX, Levoris Marie Day and Elizabeth (Carlton) Washington of Baton Rouge, LA, Brothers: Sammy Day, Milton (Victoria) Day, Alvin Day, and Joseph (Betty) Day of Baton Rouge, LA, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
