Barbara W. Brown died peacefully at her residence January 12, 2019 to accept her place in the mansion. She accepted Christ at an early age under the guidance of Rev. Oscar Livious at McKowen Baptist Church.
She attended McKinley High School and was also a retired state employee.
Her favorite pastimes were reading her Bible, watching television and doing word search puzzles; all in that order.
She is survived by a son, Edwin (Terry) Brown; a niece whom she raised as a daughter, Naomi Riley; a great niece that she raised as her one and only grandchild, Dominique Riley; and an adopted daughter, Rahsheeda Howard. Cousins, Constance(Connie) Queen and Joe(Gloria) Collier, and a host of other friends and relatives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Delilah Washington, and sisters Naomi Geran and Patricia Colston.
