Benjamin D. Mckeel was born November 26, 1979 to the late Benjamin D. Mckeel Sr. and Bertha Scott McKeel. He accepted Christ at seven years of age under Bishop V. L. Brown. He was a graduate of Lee High School. He received a certificate for welding at Baton Rouge Voc Terch. He was a carpenter and painter. Benjamin depated this life December 31, 2017.
He leaves to cherish his memory his six sons: Nyzeik Joshua McKeel, Benjamin D. Mckeel III, Jamorieon Carron McKeel, Jamin D. McKeel, Jayvorion Temell McKeel and Jakiyi Joshun Mckeel and Tony Knighton. His second mother Betty Johnson, Grandmother Nancy R. Scott, four God sisters: Shatena Coleman (Florida), Michelle Collins, Makisha Brown and Ciara Carr. Eight Aunts, Evangelist Alice William, Rose Knox (California), Pastor Edna and Carl Gray ( Hammond, LA), Lucille Richardson, Emma L. McCollough, Estella Wilson and Dorothy McCollough (Mississippi). Five uncles, Preston Scott, Edwards Scott Jr, Arthur L. Scott, Isaac and Delores McCollough ( Baton Rouge), Judge B. McCollough, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in Death by his father Benjamin D. McKeel Sr. Two grandfathers, Edward Scott Sr., Daniel McKeel Sr., three uncles Jessie Schiele, Daniel McKeel Jr., Bobby McKeel, Grandmother Mary E. Johnson, and one cousin Robert Scott.
