IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brian Angelo
Thomas
July 2, 1969 – April 27, 2023
Brother Brian A. Thomas was born to the late James and Barbara Jean Thomas in St. Louis, Missouri on July 2, 1969. Brian was raised by his grandmother, the late Alice Mae Williams in Plaquemine, Louisiana.
Brian accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized by the late Rev. Willie Lee McNell, Sr. at the Greater Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. Brian and family later began attending Bethany World Prayer Center, pastored by Johnathon and Angie Stockstill.
Brian was educated in the Iberville Parish School System and graduated from Plaquemine High in 1989. Brian went on to pursue a career in Law Enforcement of which he received his formal Post Certification/Training in Law Enforcement. Brian was currently an employee of West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff Office (Work Release Program).
Brian enjoyed spending time with his family. He was indeed a diligent worker and a good provider to his family. He loved to cook some type of beans on Monday. He also made sure the family had dessert for the Sunday football games. He cheered for the Philadelphia Eagles while the rest of the family cheered for the Saints. He cheered for anybody except the Cowboys.
"Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart" Eleanor Roosevelt. Brian was a humble man with few words but those that he met; he was sure to leave his footprints on their hearts.
Brian will forever be remembered by his high school sweetheart and wife for 28 years, Tamara Anderson-Thomas. God blessed them with two daughters Bria (Caleb) Henderson and Madison Thomas. Brian was immensely proud of his family. His girls were indeed "the apple of his eyes."
Brian will be dearly remembered by his aunts and uncles: Dianne W. Stewart (Patrick); Roger Williams, Donald Williams, Sr. (Dietatrichia), Lionel Williams; Rose Williams and Lenora (Bennie) Crawford. His sister-in-laws and brothers-in-law are Misty Anderson, Joseph Anderson, Jr. (Girlie), and Harlan Anderson.
Brian and Tamara had five godchildren: Shavers. Jr., Todd, Joshua and Helen Gordon and Jordan Anderson. Memories will remain with Brian and Tamara's special friends, Brian and Bridgette James (Fremont, California) along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, family, and coworkers.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents James and Barbara Thomas, grandmother Alice Williams, aunt Veronica Williams, uncles Eugene and Johnny Lee Williams, father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph Sr. and Cynthia Anderson.
