Carolyn Marie O'Conner Kornbacher was born March 31, 1952 in Baton Rouge, LA to Oscar Banks and Albertha Kornbacher. On February 13, 2018, God called our loved one to rest. She was baptized at an early age at Fairview Baptist Church in Baton Rouge under the leadership of the late OT Ellis. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Isaac and Brian O'Conner and one daughter, Kendra Mason, of Baton Rouge. In addition, her love will be carried on by her four loving sisters: Rochelle Lusk, Wanda Landry, Elaine Leatherman and Vanessa Sims; five brothers: Alvin (Beverly) Hughes of Malboro MD, Larry (Linda) Foster, Kelvin Wayne (Nicole) Burns, Kenneth, Kevin (Barbara) Banks, Darryl (Karen) Banks, of Baton Rouge. Four Grandsons, D'Montrel, Ronnie, Darrius, and Edward and one granddaughter, Destini of Baton Rouge. A devoted friend and caregiver, Lisa Knighten. One cousin, Eddie (Diane) Kornbacher and three best friends, Leslie Gates, Jackie Williams and Deloris Plummer. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her mothers Albertha Kornbacher and Augustine O'Conner, father, Oscar Banks, sisters Linda Mason, Patricia Newell, Cynthia Kornbacher, Autry Thompkins, and Brenda Variste, her brothers, Johnny Kornbacher, Michael Johnson and Elvin Banks, and one aunt Willie Mae Kornbacher.
