Casey Lynn Jones Marshall age 41 died unexpectedly of natural causes on Wednesday May 20, 2026 at her home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

 Casey was born to John Wilbur Jones Jr. and Lori Olson Jones on August 14th, 1984 in Nebraska. She attended Pelahatchie High School and graduated from the Mississippi School of Mathematics and Science in 2002. She attended Louisiana State University and graduated in 2006 with a B.A. in Mass Communication: Public Relations and a minor in Business Administration. Always looking to better herself, she also held several professional licenses and certifications.

Casey loved God, family, friends, and dogs. She was intelligent, creative, and artistic. She was passionate about social issues and justice for marginalized communities. Known for her quick wit and fun puns, Casey loved to laugh and to make others laugh.

She survived a massive brain tumor and its accompanying surgeries in 2023. In June 2025, she became a mother to a son named Philipe. She was a devoted parent and found great joy in being a mom.

She is preceded in death by her father John Wilbur Jones Jr. and grandparents.

She is survived by her mother Lori; her husband James “Jamie;” her 10-month-old son Philipe; and her siblings John “Wil,” Caleb (Sarah), and Jessie (Mitchell).
