Sunrise: February 25, 1998 - Sunset: February 26, 2018
Charles was born on February 25, 1998, in Ivory Coast, West Africa, to his mother Alice Bowah and father Tushord Bowah. He came to the United States at the age of four, as a refugee resettled through Catholic Charities, with his mother and brother Shadrick. Charles was very enthusiastic about his education. He attended University Terrace Elementary and Kenilworth Middle Schools. Charles attended Tara High School where he participated in many activities. While attending Tara he participated in most activities there but his main focus was wrestling, which he enjoyed
so much and at which he also excelled. He continued until he graduated from Tara High School in May of 2016. Upon graduating from Tara High School, he immediately enlisted in the United States National Guard Unit E03. Charles held a rank of Private First Class (PFC). He was enrolled at Virginia College in Baton Rouge majoring in Medical Assistance.
Charles was a humble, kind-hearted, trusting, helpful, friendly, and very energetic person. He always had a big and bright smile on his face. Charles possessed a bright light that made people gravitate towards him. While he is no longer physically with us, he will forever live in our memories. Charles spirit is strong and will live on forever in our hearts.
On February 26, 2018, Charles Bowah was called home to his heavenly father, just one day after his 20th birthday.
Charles will forever be remembered and cherished by his mother, Alice Bowah, his father Turshord Bowah, sisters Doris Glotto and Kiki Joseph, brothers Shadrick Bowah and Andris Joseph, and his stepfather Justin Joseph. He also leaves to treasure his memories his uncle Charles Bowah, Aunt Victoria Glotto, and a host of relatives in the USA and West Africa. Charles will also be remembered by his mentor Mr. Mark Enfield, his US Army National Guard unit, his wrestling coach Mr. Phil Bode, the local Liberian Community, close friends, other associates, co-workers, and many other persons whose lives were touched and inspired by him.
