Born March 30, 1916, in Woodville, Mississippi, to the union of Douglas Raymond and Patsy Wright Raymond. He was one of six children, 4 boys and 2 girls. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged. He is survived by 5 children, 1 son and 4 daughters: Rose Nell Martin of California, Emma Jean Williams of New Orleans, Beatrice Parker, R.T. Lanus and Henrietta Callahan, all of Baton Rouge; 8 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 nieces and 2 nephews. Preceded in death by mother and father, Douglas and Patsy Raymond; 3 brothers, Morris Iler, Jerry Raymond, and George Raymond; 2 sisters, Alberta Bandford and Barbara Blakes; 1 son, Billy Raymond; 1 granddaughter, Sherrie Williams Stephens; and two nephews, George and Jerry Raymond.
