Clarence Williams (Larry Daley) was a Native of Birmingham, Alabama. He was born to the parents of Aranda Brown and Raymond Williams on February 6, 1927. He died Tuesday night, April 25, 2017 at the age of 90.
Clarence at an early age decided he would be a part to the entertainment worls. He began his career as a radio personality on WENN radio station in Birmingham. He has been at radio stations in Virginia, Jackson, MS WOKG, Tampa WYOU, Little Rock (KOKY), Los Angeles (WXOK), The Virgin Islands, New Orleans (WBOK), Shreveport (KANB, KOKA), and Baton Rouge (WXOK). He traveled with James Brown for six years and was the opening act for Jackie Wilson, Lou Rawls and many, many others. Ebony Magazine name him as the #1 DJ in the country in the 60s and PULSE ranked him #1 D.J. in New Orleans
He leaves to mourn: wife Bernice (Bonnie) tweo children, Clara (Cookie) and Anthony (Tony), four grandchildren: Justane' (Just), De'lexus (Leckley0, Anthony Jr. and Michael.
Siblings Brothers: Humphy (Pat), Birmingham, AL, Alvin (Buttercup-deceased), LeDale (Lucky, decreased), AC Birmingham; sisters Sarah Moundsville, West Virginia, Helen Cleveland Ohio and Arwilda Bellair, Ohio One sister in law Louise Allums (Shreveport), One brother-in-law- Herman J. Allums (St. Louis, MO) and host of nieces and nephews and loving friends.
