Daisy Ruth Jones Jarrell, 91, a native of New Orleans, LA and current resident of Baton Rouge, LA ascended to her heavenly home on Sunday January 6, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Daisy retired from the Tennessee State School System after many years as a choral music, classroom teacher and a School Counselor. She was a member of Mississippi Blvd. Christian Church in Memphis, Tennessee and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Daisy is survived by a devoted cousin, Mildred E. Bowie of Baton Rouge, LA and a host of family and friends. Daisy is preceded in death by her parents Lafayette and Ruth Edwards Jones.
