Daniel Emanuel Scott was born on July 30, 1983, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Willie Scott, Sr. and Loretta Dent Scott. He accepted Christ at an early age and grew up attending church, ministering via music as a drummer and keyboardist. Daniel's faith in God was resilient and helped him to overcome life's many obstacles.

Daniel graduated from Scotlandville Magnet High School in 2002. He furthered his education by attending Louisiana State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business in 2007.

Daniel was the embodiment of love and compassion; he loved his family and never met a stranger. He had a smile that could light up a room. Daniel was a kind and generous person that possessed a heart of gold. He was always willing to help others, expecting nothing in return.

Daniel channeled his passion for service into his work, always focusing on roles that would allow him to interact directly with people. Daniel had an incredible work ethic and valued excellence, consistently going above and beyond expectations. Family was very important to Daniel, and he especially cherished his role as uncle to his nephews and niece.

Daniel was called to the Lord's presence on December 3, 2024, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the age of 41. Daniel leaves those he loved the most to cherish his life and lasting memories. He is survived by his parents, Willie Scott, Sr. and Loretta Dent Scott, Baton Rouge, his sibling, Dr. Willie Scott, II (Michele), Austin, Texas, his nephews, Elijah Scott and Joshua Scott, Austin, Texas, and his niece, Hannah Scott, Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gracie Green and Johnnie Dent, his paternal grandparents, Isabella Scott and Pollee Scott, his uncles, Carnell Dent, Eddie Scott, David Scott, and Johnny Scott, and his aunts, Bernice McLeish, Francis Green, and Carolyn Taylor.
