Desmond Jeremiah Clark was born in Baton Rouge, LA at Earl K. Long Hospital on September 29, 1989. Although he lived in Virginia and Mississippi, he last resided in New York where he passed on September 23, 2018.
He graduated from Harrison Central High School in Gulfport, MS in 2008. After graduation, he joined the Army, where he served three tours oversea. Once he was discharged from the Army, he furthered his education by receiving his Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a focus on General management on October 23, 2017 from Bryant & Straton College. He also received his certification in Human Resources.
He is survived by his daughter (Annika Rose Clark), mother (Yolanda Atkins) father (Tarvin Atkins) and three sisters (Jada, Ladrica, and Tarlean Atkins). He is preceded in death by one of his maternal grandmothers (Audrey Jones) and one of his paternal grandfathers (Albert Jones).
He loved spending time with his family and friends, being outdoors, carpentry, and working on cars. His charm and smile enlightened everyone he came in contact with.
Desmond was baptized at a young age by the late Rev Charles Lee Burris Sr. PhD at Greater Morning Star Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA.
Desmond was a bright, shining light in this world, and we take solace in the fact that he will live in our hearts and memories. We also know that we will one day see him again when we join him in our Father's house.
