Some people leave footprints on the earth, while others leave an imprint on the hearts of everyone blessed to know them. Donald Ray Joseph was a man who did both.
On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, Donald Ray Joseph departed this earthly life, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, determination, and cherished memories that will forever live in the hearts of his family and friends.
Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Donald was a man whose roots ran deep and whose dreams reached far beyond the place he called home. He attended Istrouma High School, graduating with the Class of 1993. From his early years, Donald carried a spirit of ambition, resilience, and determination that would become defining characteristics of his life.
Donald was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Cosha Shauntel Joseph. Their marriage represented a partnership built on love, commitment, shared dreams, and the journey of navigating life's many seasons together.
He was also a loving father whose legacy continues through his children: Kailyn Rion Nicholas, Raylan Deon Nicholas, Jordan Derell Harris, and D’Andre Markell Joseph, Kyler Doutrive, Kay Doutrive. Fatherhood was among the most important roles he carried, and the love, lessons, memories, and values he leaves behind will continue to sharpen the lives of his children for generations to come.
He was a man who worked to build a life, provide for his family, and create a future.
Donald was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Patricia Mae Joseph, whose memory remains a treasured part of his story.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Cosha Shauntel Joseph; his beloved children, Kailyn Rion Nicholas, Raylan Deon Nicholas, Jordan Derell Harris, D’Andre Markell Joseph, Kyler Doutrive and Kay Doutrive; along with a host of extended family members, dear friends, classmates, colleagues, and countless others whose lives were touched by his presence.
Donald Ray Joseph's story is not simply one of a man who lived and passed away. It is the story of a man who loved, dreamed, worked, built, persevered, and left pieces of himself in the hearts of those who knew him.
His life was a gift. His love was a blessing. His memory will forever be a treasure.
Rest peacefully, Donald.
Your work here is done, but your love, your name, and your legacy will live on.
