Our beloved, Douglas Anderson, Jr. born in New Orleans, LA on January 20, 1965, and passed away in New Orleans, LA on February 28, 2018 at the age of 53.
Douglas Anderson, Jr. was born to Douglas Anderson, Sr. and the late Yvonne Helen Henderson. He attended and studied at George Washington Carver Senior High School and worked as head cook at the French Quarter's Famous, Ralph & Kacoo's Restaurant. He then learned other trades an independent contractor While working for his uncle, the late Aaron Riley, Sr. He gained the skills of carpentry, paint, and construction. He then developed the skills of Landscape design, as he worked with his Father Douglas Anderson, Sr. designing many homes in Baton Rouge.
Our beloved was a loving kind man very smart and intelligent. He loved to sing and dance, and he was the life of the party. He would grab the first pretty lady he saw, and make her two-step and swing out on the dance floor. That was Doug Jr!
Douglas Anderson, Jr. was preceded in death by his Mother, Yvonne Helen Henderson.
He is survived by his Father: Douglas Anderson, Sr. and Step Mother Elnora Topps (better known Momma Jessie), two daughters: Yasmine Edwards Lee and Yada Edwards, and his grandchildren: Jerry 'ion Simon, Renell Green, Curtis Lee Jr. and his new born grandson: Jorddan Bierria ( who got the chance to touch and smell his PaPa before he transitioned).
His Siblings, who he loved so dearly, (oldest to youngest) Tanja Peaches Hayes, Warren Simmons, Betty Sue Williams, Catherine Henderson Baggett, Terracita Anderson Comena, Joseph Anderson, Troylynn Henderson Falls, Yvonne Helen Henderson II, Maxine Henderson Shorts, LaTania Denise Anderson, and Dreba Renee Anderson.
His three Aunts: Josephine Joseph, Florence Jolla and Doreatha Anderson Williams. The In-laws: Allen Baggett, Miquel Shorts, Johnny Comena, Timothy Falls, Curtis Lee, Sr., Joe Williams, and much loved nieces, nephews, great nieces, many other cousins, relatives, in laws and friends.
Douglas Anderson Jr., our beloved, you will be missed dearly by all of us. We will miss you so much we will never forget your warm and loving heart, your brave courageous spirit, your humor and funny ways...
