Earl David Thomas was born August 25, 1941, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the union the late Walker A. Thomas, Sr. and Marguerite Ramsey Thomas. He was the seventh of eleven children. He went home to meet the Lord on December 12, 2018. Earl leaves to cherish his memory his children, a son, George (Alona) James Watts (Missouri City, Texas), and three daughters, Kelly Thomas Haynes (Zachary), Kimberly Thomas Warner (Baton Rouge) and Klydie (James Park) Dolores Thomas (Paris, France), five grandchildren, three brothers, four sisters and a host of relatives and friends. Earl is preceded in death by three sisters. The Celebration of Earl's life will take place on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Progressive Baptist Church, 998 Julia Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with viewing starting at 9 a.m. and religious services to follow at 11 a.m. He will be laid to rest at the Louisiana National Cemetery. Winnfield Funeral Home of Baton Rouge is in charge of the arrangements. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area.
