God blessed Louis and Elizabeth Criddle Wilson of Sunshine, LA on September 26, 1936 with their youngest daughter, Ellen. She slept on to eternity March 25, 2017. As it is written by the Apostle Paul in II Corinthians 5:8; "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." A graduate of Sunshine High School, Capital Area Vocational School-Cosmetology '57, American College- Nursing Assistant Program '86 and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary-Biblical Teaching Certificate 2014. Ellen was a member of Community Bible Baptist Church, Pastor Lee Wesley and a faithful attendant of Radio Bible Class founded by Nick Kalivoda. Her passion was the Ministry of Mission and she worked with several ministries with love and commitment. She enjoyed seeking the knowledge of God and studying His word. She also enjoyed fashion, cooking, and caring for her plants. Ellen was proceeded in death by her two husbands; George Hilliard, Sr. and Eddie Gaines, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory; her children: Jacqueline (Joseph) Jackson, Gonzales, LA;George (Shira) Hilliard,St. Gabriel, LA; Minister Louis Hilliard, Baton Rouge, LA; Wanda Hilliard, Pontiac, MI; and Lisa (Steven) Johnson, Baton Rouge, LA and goddaughter Patricia Wilson, Sunshine, LA. Eight grandchildren: Travis Hilliard, Jariell Jackson, Tawanda Hilliard, Jeuan Hilliard, Ti'Aijia Hilliard, Micah Camper, Natalye Hilliard, and James Johnson. Seven great grandchildren: Elijah Hilliard, Jailin Lodge, Journey Hilliard, Eden Hilliard, Ja'Mya Johnson, Josiah Johnson and Halo Johnson, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
