Freddie Chambers received his call from God on Thursday, May 24, 2018, telling him that his work here is done and he passed peacefully at home.
Freddie was born on June 30, 1937 to Lena Hayes and Henry Chambers, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge and was baptized.
Freddie was the parent of six children: Patricia Sarver, Cheryl Detiege, Barbara, Christina and Micheal Chambers and Marlon Williams all of Baton Rouge.
Freddie was a hard worker and he worked twenty five years for Kean's Laundry and also twenty five years as a driver with Kormeyers. He retired from Kormeyers in 2003.
He is survived by three brothers: Donald, Julius and Lloyd Chambers; three sisters: Carolyn Stringfellow, Constance Robinson, and Audrey Bean; four grandchildren: Chemekia and Ebony Detiege, Jules and Jordel Sarver; three great grandchildren; six stepchildren: Will London, Jr. Checketa, Cenobe, Carmen Williams, Collete Coates and Greg Williams.
He is precede in death by his parents, wives, Ruth Station and Bythella Williams; one son, Frederick Chambers; a brother, Henry Chambers, Jr. and cousin, Lula Ann Station.
