Obituary

George Leo Livous, Sr., "Snook" as he was affectionately known, was born April 29, 1928 in Clinton, Louisiana to the parentage of Minnie Wright Livous and Joe Henry Livous, one of ten children. He was baptized at an early age at the Morning Star Baptist Church. George eas united in holy matrimony to Matilda Pitcher Livous on September 30, 1951. To this union four sons and one daughter were born, George Leo Jr., Michael, Jeffery, Mark and Bernadine. He was an entrepreneur owning George Livous, Sr. Painting Contractor, and was one of the most sort after and highly respected in his field. George departed this lifer for his heavenly home Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital surrounded by his family. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife of 66 years Matilda Pitcher Livous; children: George, Jr. (Mecho), Michael (Theresa), Jeffery (Shanell), Mack, Bernadine (Frank); one sister: Isabel Livous; one brother Charles Livous; brother-in-law: Willie Pitcher; sisters-in-law: Estelle P. Walker, Virginia P. Carter, Dorothy Mae Coleman, Berniece Livous; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Minnie Wright Livous and Joe Henry Livous, Sr.; five brothers: Frank, Huey, Oscar, Joe, and John Livous; three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
