Geraldine McCalope Brown was born on April 15, 1940 in Baton Rouge, LA to Mary Johnson and Eugene McCalope. On June 30, 1961, she married Harold Brown and together they raised four children: Carolyn Johnson, Clara Cannon, Harold Brown Jr., and Jean Snowden. Geraldine had an unwavering faith in God and instilled in her family the power of prayer and worship. It is this faith in God that will comfort her family during their time of bereavement.
To cherish her memory, Geraldine leaves her devoted husband Harold Brown, a loving sister Marguerite McCalope Jackson, her brother Joseph Curry, two daughters Carolyn Johnson and Clara Cannon, nine grandchildren Emanuel Constance III, Joseph McCalope, Cordell Johnson, Kiwanier McCalope, Ashley Moman, Chelsea Beardon, Carl Snowden Jr., Antonio Johnson, Kyla Johnson, five great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents Mary Johnson and Eugene McCalope, brothers Paul McCalope, Silas McCalope, Larry Chirstopher, and Donald Ray Harding, daughter Jean Snowden, son Harold Brown Jr, mother-in-law Dora Campbell, and great grandson Emanuel Constance IV.
