Glancer Rock Promise was born on October 18, 1937 in Baker, Louisinia to the late Estell Spears. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley Goins Promise. Glancer worked for Tembec USA and was a forklift operator until he retired. His greatest hobby was playing golf, and socializing with his friends. Glancer was graced by God with much wisdom. Glancer accepted Christ as his personal savior and was a active member of Living Faith Christian Center until his health began to decline. Glancer Rock Promise life will be cherished by his son, Eric Anthony Promise; grandsons, Darryl Robins and Derrick Robins all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; daughter in-law, Janice Promise; sister in-laws, Ester Lee Dixon (Fred), and Willie Mae Brady; god daughter, Catina, and a host of loving nieces, in-laws, special friends and neighbors; other in-laws, Robert and Tina Goins, Russell and Michelle Goins, Joe Goins and family, Gerald Legaux and family, all whom will miss him dearly.
