Iola Lee Pratt was born to the union of Joe and Susan Turner on April 2, 1930 in Lafourche Parish. She was a loving housewife for many years. She departed her life peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge. Iola was a very loving and generous person. She gained many friends during her latter years. She was a stern visionary leader of her family. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She was always the life of the family gathering. It was always family over everything in her eyes. She was a Deaconess at Nazarene Baptist Church, Addis, LA under the leadership of Rev. Lawrence Philson. She later joined Antioch Full Gospel Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Gregory Cooper, Sr. to worship with her children.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, James Pratt, Jr, Micheal Pratt, Kenneth Pratt, five daughters, Susie (Carl)Williams, Donna Pratt, Lynnnell(Ronald)Harding, Lisa(Charlie) Jackson, Pamela Pratt, James Boudreaux(son-law), 90 + grandchildren, one sister in-law Mary Turner, a host of nieces, nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband James O. Pratt, Sr., 5 children, Rose Lee, Barbara Ann Turner, Lawrence Ray Pratt, Lynda Boudreaux, Robert Pratt, 3 grandchildren, Temikia Warren, Reginald Warren and Nolan Pratt, Jr.
