Isabella "Belle" Veronica Poland, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at the age of 80. She was a native of New Roads, LA and a resident of Baker, LA. Belle graduated from Southern University with a Masters of Education. She retired from Southern University. She enjoyed taking care of others, helping those in need and praying throughout her days. She was a proud sponsor of St. Judes Children Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Leona Dubois Varmall, Sr.; son, Kevin Johann Poland; brothers, Charles, Sr., Herbert, Herman, John Sr., Paul Varmall Sr., Larry and Curtis Varmall, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of 60 years, Richard Lee Poland, Jr.; granddaughters, Jalon and Ashley Poland; 8 great grandsons and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and friends. Family and friends of Belle are invited to attend the Visitation on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, from 9am to 11am with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following.
