Ivy A. Chenevert, Sr. made his earthly entrance on September 29, 1949, to the late Joseph N. Chenevert Sr. and Geneva Chenevert. He departed this life on January 12, 2023, at his residence.

Ivy A. Chenevert, Sr loved music, in his early age he was part of a band called Sister and Brothers as the lead singer. Later in life he gave his life to the Lord and became an ordained minister, he believed in rising early in the morning and studying God's word. He was a man of faith who believed and stood on the word of God. No matter what event was taking place he would be there with the camera to record, he said that everything was supposed to be on video so that we can enjoy later. Ivy A. Chenevert Sr. retired in Certified Transmission, and we all know that he was a Chevrolet Man.

Ivy A. Chenevert, Sr. leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife Mablene Chenevert, his children Ivy Chenevert, Jr, Troy Toussaint, Kyra (Damion) Rosby, Yakitta (Abdul) Fobbs, Tonya (Ronald) Proctor, Shajetta Toussaint, 12 grandkids and 4 great grandkids

Rochell (Eddie) Gray, Rosalind (Clinton) Johnson, Wanda (Albert) Johnson, Rozetta Jones, Darrell Jones 8 grandkids, 20 great grandkids. He was a father that loved his children, his bonus children and all his grandkids unconditionally.

One brother Joseph (Donna Faye) Chenevert Jr, three sisters Marie Chenevert, Linda Mae Thomas, Valend Chenevert Morris, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Ivy A. Chenevert Sr. was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Geneva Chenevert, 3 brothers Richard Chenevert, Donald Chenevert and Clifton Chenevert, 2 sisters Theresa Benton and Albertine Pipkin.
