II Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which in the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them that love his appearing. Janice Marie Doyle Hamilton was born June 25, 1951 in Baton Rouge LA to the late Asberry Jr and Katie Brooks Doyle. She accepted Christ at the age of 8 years old and was baptized by the late Rev. S. P. Nelson, New Bethel BC. She later joined Gloryland BC under leadership of the late Rev. J. D. Lands. Jancie was currently a member of Now Faith COGIC, serving until her death prevented her from attending. Janice was a member of McKinley Sr HS class of 1969. Janice united in Holy Matrimony to the late Lawrence Victor Hamilton. To this union 3 children were born, Laurencia, Lawrence jr and Montel Jerome. Janice loved being with her family, cooking her delicious meals (homemade yeast rolls, gumbo, pecan candy) big favorites. She enjoyed singing, cooking, dancing and traveling. Janice was a dedicated employee of LSU Pentagon as a cook until her retirement in 2008. She leaves to cherish her memories, 2 sons: Lawrence Victor Hamilton, Jr. (Ura), Montel Jerome Hamilton, Sr. (Jillian). Grandchildren: Myesha D. Hamilton, Jasmine R. Hamilton, Daryl C. Hamilton, Brent K. Hamilton, Adonis Cotton, Lawrence Victor Hamilton III, and Montel J. Hamilton, Jr. Godchild, Deslyn Coleman. Sister; Carrie A. Dilworth (Louis), Joyce A. Coleman (Louise). Brothers; Lawrence Doyle (Sylvia), Gregory Doyle (Linda), Asberry Doyle II (Sharon). Great grandchildren; Lachuncey Q. Hitchens, Jr., Marlea A. Hamilton, Catalina Nyguen, Mia J. Phillips and Lyric M. Hamilton. Two (2) brothers-in-law, Robert Hamilton (Cherlyn), Richardson, TX and John Hamilton, Edmond, OK. Two (2) sister-in-law, Joyce Hamilton Nasrawi, San Francisco, CA, and Cherlyn Gilmore, Baton Rouge LA, step mother-in-law, Gladys Hamilton, Baton Rouge LA, She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
