Obituary

"We all have different journeys, different paths along the way. We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay..." John Warren LeBlanc, Sr. was born to the union of the late Clophia LeBlanc on August 19, 1935, in Whiteville, Louisiana. He surrendered to the sovereign call of God's Sunset on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at his resident surrounded by his family for another place, "A city which halt foundation whose builder and maker is God." John accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized into the Christian Faith in Whiteville, Louisiana. He was active in the military. He was a retired foreman at Kansas City Southern Railroad with 27 years of service. His greatest legacy is the life he lived as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and devoted brother. He was united in holy matrimony to Frances Jean Forsythe LeBlanc. He leaves to mourn his death, nine children, three sons and six daughters. His life was fulfilled, rich, and happy. John loved people and touched the hearts of many with his love, kindness and generosity. John's legacy will always be cherished by his three son; John Warren (Debra) LeBlanc, Jr., Bunkie, Louisiana; Torey Montrell LeBlanc, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Richard (Sheila) Lewis, Lake Charles, Louisiana; six daughters; Linda Forsythe, Kathy Culbreath, and Wanda Harden, all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Cynthia Devenport, Houston, Texas, Feleshia (Earl) Daigle, Fort Worth, Texas, and Patricia (Charles) Armstrong, Prarieville, Louisiana; two sisters, Anna D. (James) Johnson, Whiteville, Louisiqna, and Pearlie Gradnigo, Opelousas, Louisiana; one brother-in-law, David (Sasndra) Forsythe, Houston, Texas; five sister-in-laws, Bessie Mae(Jimmy) Reed, Joyce (George) Duhon, and Sylvia Bilbo Forsythe, all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Veronica Arceneaux, Houston, Texas, and Thelma Lee Forsythe, Opelousas, Louisiana; four godchildren, Joseph E. Johnson, Opelousas, Louisiana, Pansy Harris Cheri, Houston, Texas, Yolanda Reed Sanders, Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Raven Brown, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; twenty grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Jean Forsythe LeBlanc. A life lived as John lived cannot die but lives on in the hearts, memories, and ideas of all those who knew and loved him.
