Just about everyone called her "Momma", whether they are related or not. Joyce Ann Hawkins Johnson, 65, resident of Baker, Louisiana departed this earthy life and received her wings on January 17th 2019. Joyce graduated from Shady Grove High School in Rosedale. She was a member of the class of 1971. Joyce's mission in life was helping people. She was the owner and operator of Johnson Real Estate Group LLC where she helped people restructure their lives so they could purchase and or sell real estate property. Her husband, Albert Johnson Sr. and she had 19 foster children within their home over the years. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years, Albert Johnson Sr. and her children: Albert (LaTonya), Katrina (James), Steven, Benny, Jermaine, Kiara, Marquise and Kiwon. Joyce will also be fondly remembered by her 11 grand-children: Monterius, Nadia, Aaliyah, Ambre, Nataya, James, Jacob, Zion, Brandon, Aja and Serenity, by her brothers, Louis (Carol), Donald (Tiny), George (Gwendolyn), and Ronald (Ester), by her sisters, Bertha, Mary, Rosa (David), Ruba and Jean, by her sister-in-law, Louise. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by a host of nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and dear friends. Joyce was predeceased by her parents: James Walter and Mary V. Hawkins By her children: John Adam, Mary Katherine, by her brothers: Phillip Sr., James Erskin, Joseph Calvin, and by her brother-in-law, Roy Anderson. Funeral Service will take place in memory of Joyce on Friday, January 25th, 2019 at St. Paul Catholic Church 3912 Gus Young Ave. BR, LA 70802. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM with Rosary at 10:00 AM, Remembrances at 10:30 AM, and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, with Father Thomas Clark officiating. Interment will follow.
