A retired teacher for the East Baton Rouge Parish school system with 37 years of service, she passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 74, a native of Centreville, Miss., and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home, 7221 Plank Road, on Thursday, April 11, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by services at 11 a.m. Friday, April 12, conducted by Pastor Jesse Williams. Interment in Roselawn Cemetery. Survived by her sisters, Gloria (Burl Jr.) Turner and Deloris (Donald Sr.) Walton; and brothers, Larry (Mamie) Robinson and MacArthur (Jannette) Robinson. Preceded in death by her parents, Willie H. Sr. and Annie T. Robinson; sister, Patricia A. Robinson; and brother, Willie H. Robinson Sr. She attended East Feliciana High School, and earned her bachleor's and master's degrees in education at Southern University. She loved gardening and shopping, and kept a beautiful, well-manicured flower garden and yard. She was always heping others, and she loved children. After retiring, she tutored her nieces and nephews after school. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
