Lavon was born on September, 8, 1961 in Beckley, West Virginia to the late Claude and Gladys Mack. She slipped away into the arms of Jesus on October 25, 2021 following a short illness. She grew up in Oak Hill, WV where she was a member of First Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She was a graduate of Oak Hill High School. She later attended Marshall University. She was an administrative secretary at Gerry Lane Chevrolet Buick for the last 15 years. Previously she was employed at Protocol for 10 years. Lavon's beautiful life was full of service and helping others in need. She was definitely a humanitarian. She always had kind words for people in need of encouragement. She was selfless, kind, and a joy to be around. She enjoyed cooking, music, family and most importantly, she loved the Lord.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jonathan Thompson, grandson, Jordan Thompson, brothers, Dennis Mack (Linda), and Darryl Mack, her sister, Elizabeth Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Mack of Birmingham, Alabama. Her mother Gladys Mack of Charlottesville, VA and her brother Charles Mack.
