Leola "Noon" Wilson was the sixth of ten children bornto th elate Henry Jones, Sr. and the late Alberta Jonson Jones on July 11, 1942in Woodville, Mississippi. A short time later, the family moved to Baton Rouge, LA. She was educated in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System.
Leola was employed at The East Baton Rouge General Hospital for many years where she met and married, the love of her life, Fred Wilson. After retiring, she found time to do some of the things she loved most: fishing and going to church musicals. She even found time to help care for her great nieces and nephews so their parents could work. She simply loved her family.
Leola joined the North Boulevard Macedonia Full Gospel Church Family where she worked unselfishly for the Lord until her health failed. She departed this life on the afternoon of February 26, 2018/ at her home in Baton rouge, LA.
Leola leaves to cherish her precious memories a devoted husband: Fred Wilson of Baton Rouge, LA along with his children: Michael Wilson of Tylertown, Miss., Artis Va Wilson of Franklinton, Miss., John Gerald Wilson of Franklinton, LA. Gregory (Stacy) Miller, Terry Williams, Freddie Lee Jones and Angela (Leonard) and Anna B. White, all of Baton Rouge, LA., one brother. Howard Jones of Denham Springs, LA. Four sister-in-law: Louella and Geneva Jones. Barbara Brown, all of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Leola was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents, Alberta and Henry Jones, Five brothers: Audrey James, Henry Jr., Roosevelt Edwards, and Paul Jones, one Curtis Branaugh, and three nephew: Howard Hones, Jr., Floyd Jones and Michael Jones.
