On July 28, 1964, Leon Myers, Jr. was born to the late Leon Myers, Sr. and Rose M. Myers. Leon answered the call of God accepting Christ and was baptized by the late Rev. Leo Billoups of St. John Baptist Church. Leon served on the Usher Board. God, in His Infinite wisdom, called Leon into eternal rest on Monday, March 26, 2018. Leon was united in holy matrimony to Lucinda Griffin Myers. Leon was a graduate of Glen Oaks High. He attended Southern University, Baton Rouge. Later he graduated from Delgado College, New Orleans. Leon was a successful entrepreneur with "Leon's Cajun Seasoning and Leon's Lawn Service". He was very talented. Leon was a person that loved children. He adored his step- grandson Kennedy Jr. a cousin Kenneth Perkins and La' Mya Eillis whom he treated as a little sister. He was devoted to his family and always willing to lend a helping hand. Leon's memories will be remembered by his loving wife Lucinda G. Myers , and a devoted mother Rose Myers. Four Aunts Norma (Walter) Martin which was a second mother. Five Uncles Willie Dents Port Allen, La., Freddie Dents, Jr., Hopkins, South Carolina, Frank (Gloria) Jones, Riverside, Calif. Edwards (Norma) Myers, New York City, New York, and Lionel (Patrica) Myers, Houma, La. Two Step-children, Channel Griffin and Kennedy Griffin, Sr., Baton Rouge, La. Three step- grandchildren, Kennedy, Jr. Keon, and Kemerie Griffin. Baton Rouge, La, Six sister-in-law's and Nine brother-in-law's Baton Rouge, La. Two God children, Candace Collins and Noah Duncan. Leon will be greatly missed by ALL of his Cousin and close friends. Leon was preceded in death by his beloved Father Leon Myers, Sr., Paternal grandparents Edward and Caroline Myers, Maternal grandparents Anderson and Leola Jones.
