Lillian Bruton was born on August 24, 19396 to the late John B. Montgomery and Carrie Polk in New Orleans, LA. She was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Capitol House Rehab Center in Baton Rouge, LA. She accepted Christ as her personal savior, and was baptized at an early age. Lillian was a faithful member of Living Faith Christian Center until her health began to fail. She graduated from Northwestern High School, in Zachary, LA. She loved fishing, cooking, singing, and spending time with family and friends. Lillian leaves to cherish her memories two daughters; Jennifer Howard-Baton Rouge, LA, Carolyn (Henry) Green-Baker, LA, one son Terry (Angeline) Bruton-Prairieville, LA, one brother John B. Montgomery Jr., one sister, Betty Montgomery Petit, four granddaughters-Brittany (Terrance) Square, Tangela (Robert) Green, Taylor Wright, & Kyra Haynes, five grandsons-Henry Green Jr., Arthur (Valery) Square, Trymel Green, Christian Gremillion, & Roman Bruton. One sister-in-law, Clarice Lavigne-Baton Rouge, LA. A devoted spiritual son and daughter John and Linda Dillon, and a devoted friend of many years Ms. Willie Mae Gorham, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents John B. Montgomery and Carrie Polk, husband; Jesse Bruton, Sr., son; Jesse Bruton Jr., one brother; Robert Milligan Sr., one sister Rosa Lee Scott.
