Linda Gayle Morgan Banks was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on Dec. 4, 1952 to union of Joseph Morgan, Sr. and Easter Lilly Morgan. The youngest of five children, she was reared in a loving, Christian home in Baton Rouge. She attended Greenville Elementary, Capitol Junior, and Capitol Senior High Schools. Despite the many obstacles that were seemingly against her, she received her B.S. degree in Social Welfare from Southern University. She worked as an intake investigator at the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney's Office in the Child Support Division for 35 years.
Upon retirement, Linda was able to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a published author. Documenting her personal account of God's grace and mercy at work in her life, she authored the publication, Why Me?
Linda was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for nearly forty years. She was a loving and loyal friend and confidant. Everyone who knew her could testify that her greatest joy was found in the love she had for her family. Her magnanimous spirit was matched only by her compassion for others.
