Mary L. Edwards Joubert was born September 25, 1929, in Grand Prairie, LA., to the late Curley and Lena Poullard Edwards. She was 85 years old and departed this life on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, Baton Rouge, LA surrounded by family and friends. Mary loved God, her family and attending church. She had the most calming personality that anyone would ever want to meet. One of her favorite 'pass time' events was watching religious services on television. She enjoyed baking; her specialty was cakes and pies and her home was an open door for everyone to come and enjoy a great meal. Mary leaves to carry on her legacy, two daughters, Peggy Williams (Ralph), Baton Rouge, LA; Pamela Taylor (Barry), Orlando, FL; two sons, Harold Joubert, Sr. (Debbie), Donald Joubert (Alvin), all of Baton Rouge, LA, seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Georgia and Elizabeth Edwards, Josephine Selders, and Rosemary Smith, two brothers; Euris Edwards (Gwen) and Arthur Edwards (Edna); two sisters-in-laws Lee Ella Edwards and Mary Ann Joubert and a host of other relatives and friends. The viewing will be at Little Rock Baptist Church, 2585 Sherwood St. Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday October 18, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Religious services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Rev.
