Maxie Marie Brown The Lord blessed the family of the late Mr. Leo Brownfield, Sr and Rosa Brownfield with the birth of Maxie Marie Brownfield on June 16, 1951. Our Savior called our sweet Angel home on February 1, 2021 in Baton Rouge, LA. This incredible young woman met and married Andy Cornelius Brown. Maxie and Andys matrimonial union of forty-three years was blessed with the birth of their only child Kimberly. Maxie was an educator in Natchitoches Parish and East Baton Rouge Parish. She loved teaching and did so for 30 years.This remarkable daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, god-mother, sister and friend was always a joy to be around and would make everyone laugh with her funny gestures and jokes. Her enjoyment was being around her grandchildren whom she would enjoy baking with and attending their school events. She also liked to cheer on her favorite football team the New Orleans Saints alongside her son-in-law Jazmon Sr. Maxie was a member of Elm Park Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA over the leadership of Pastor Barry L. Guy. Preceding her in death were her parents Leo Brownfield and Rosa Brownfield. Her love and zest for life will live on in the hearts and minds of those survived by her including her husband of forty-three years, Andy Cornelius Brown of Woodville, MS; one child: Kimberly Monique Olinde (Jazmon Sr.) of Baton Rouge, LA; one Godson, Overton Jefferson, Jr (Natalie) of Natchitoches, LA, one Goddaughter, Victoria Nicole Thomas of Baker, LA; three grandchildren, Jazmon Olinde, II, Jozlyn Olinde and Journee Olinde; siblings: Leo Brownfield, II (Edith), Mary L. Jefferson (late Reverend Overton Jefferson, Sr), Carey Brownfield, Sr (Ella Jean), Charles Brownfield (late Donna Brownfield); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
