She was baptized at an early age at Star Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend H.P. Greene. Nadine was educated in the public schools of East Baton Rouge Parish. She graduated from Capital High School in the class of 1978. After high school, she attended Baton Rouge Vocational College, where she received a certificate of completion in Culinary Arts. She later put her degree to work by becoming the owner of Nadine's Catering Services. During her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, styling hair, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She was the life of any party. Nadine will always be remembered by her loving and caring family. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, Her parents; Louis and Patricia Hayes, her four daughters; Tosha Sideboard, Shadonna Phenix, Francheska Phenix and Precious Shanks, all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. One brother: Anthony Phenix (Elizabeth), Four sisters: Debra Woods (Willie) of Houston, Texas, Judy Guy (John), Karen Phenix and Rhonda Porterie all of Baton Rouge, La. Ten grandchildren; Micheal, Meiundra, Micciah Sideboard, Maleik St. Cyr, Pierre, Paris, and Payden Phenix of Baton Rouge, La, Amar'e and A'Moni Allen of Bogulusa, La and A'Verse Shanks of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; A host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins as well as friends. She was proceeded in death by her father, Ambus Phenix, sister, Anita Phenix Tucker, Maternal Grandparents, Johnny and Janie Augustus and Paternal Grandparents, Andrew Phenix, Sr., and Julie Boygents.
