On April 15,2018 surrounded by family and friends, Richard Henry Butler made his peace with God and was returned home peacefully. He was 73. Richard Henry Butler "Dickie Boy" was born April 5, 1945 in Baton Rouge, La. to parents of Rev. Willie Butler and Ruth Burgess Butler. He spent his lifetime loving and caring for animals at Helouin Veterinary Hospital where he remained until his death. Richard is survived by his son, Derrick Pitcher; sister, Margarite Butler; granddaughter Karlisha Thompson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Richard is preceded in death by his parents Pastor Willie and Ruth Butler. Two sisters: Joyce Thomas and Audrey B. Green. Two brothers: Willie Joseph Butler and Charles Butler.
