God saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, and he did what was best. He came and stood beside Ronnie and whispered, "come and rest". Ronnie gently closed his loving eyes and whispered, "Peace Be Thine". On Wednesday, March 14, 2018 God reached dwon in the garden of life and picked one of his most precious roses, a rose that was truly rare. Ronald was born May 2, 1950 in Baton Rouge, LA to the late Sam and Anna Murray. He was the 3rd of 12 siblings. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. J.R. Lewis, Rock Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Curtis Womack. He enjoyed many things throughout his life which included going to church, spending time with his family, he was an avid sports fan, loved to hold conversations with everyone, and loved home cooked meals. Ronald will be remembered for his smile and big hugs. Ronald graduated from Capitol High School. He was a maintenance employee for the State Department, worked as automotive assistant for Sears and Montgomery Wards. Ronald leaves to cherish his memories, four sisters Laura Odell of Baker, Patricia and Lillie Murray, Annette Carroll (Dennis) all of Baton Rouge, LA. Four brothers Frank (Barbara), Willie and Felton Murray all of Baton Rouge, LA., Noland Murray (Christine) of Minden, LA. Joyce and Rose Curtis, Gwendolyn and Sharon Williams, Roy Curtis. Six sisters-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law, A host of cousins, nieces and nephews and eight grandchildren. Ronald was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Murray, his father Sam W. Murray, Sr., mother Anna C. Murray, Three brothers Sam Jr., Anthony and Jessie Murray. The family is requesting a Memorial Donation to the American Diabetes Association.
