St. John 14: 1-3 Sister Sarah Louise Newton was born January 24, 1940 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to the late Sarah and Robert Lacy Sr. God has called her home for eternal rest December 9, 2017 at Winnfield Memorial Park, 7221 Plank Road, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70811. She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Sam Newton, Sr. June 15, 1962, to this union two children were born. Sister Newton joined House of God Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Robert Stovell. She leaves to cherish her loving memories; 1 daughter - Valvette Newton Johnson; 2 sons - Calvin Lacy and Andre Newton Sr.; 1 step son - Sammuel Newton Jr.; 2 daughter-in-laws - Detra Lacy and Sheila Newton.; 1 son-in-law - Donald Johnson; 1 sister - Betty Jackson; 1 brother - Henry Lacy; 4 Grandkids - Andrea Newton, Brittney Lacy, Andre Newton Jr. and wife, Terika, and Andrew Newton; 1 Great Grandchild - Aubree Newton; 3 sister-in-laws - Yvonne Barrow, Ruth Howard, Lena Spears and Andre Spears; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam Newton Sr. Parents Mrs. Sarah Lacy and Robert Lacy Sr., Sister Verdell Price, brother Robert Lacy Jr., Granddaughter Li Tisha Newton.
