Sylvester Newman, Jr. affectionately called "Bruh" entered his eternal rest on December 28, 2022 at the age of 70. Survived by his daughters Shilace Lands &  Tyeshia Newman,  & son David Lands; sisters: Lacy Newman Clayton, Berthel Antwine, Tondia Jackson, Dorothy Thomas, and Shirley Marie Williams; & brother: Orrin W. Newman Sr. (Barbara).

Preceded in death by his parents Sylvester Newman Sr., & Mother Lizzie Newman Jackson, Sister Averline Newman, Brothers Walter L. Jackson, Micheal Newman, Bertel Antwine.
