Thomas Alvin
Hudson
Mar 8, 1942 — Jun 21, 2026
— Frances & Kathleen Coelho
On Father’s Day, June 21, 2026, Thomas Alvin Hudson, 84, a resident of Saginaw, Texas, transitioned from this earthly plane surrounded by his family at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance in Fort Worth.
Born on March 8, 1942, Thomas was the youngest child of Elven Hudson, Sr. and Savannah Brown Hudson. Affectionately known to family and friends as “Bruh Boy,” Thomas was truly a son of Zion City. He was proud to be a part of the inaugural student body of Zion City Elementary in 1951, and he went on to graduate from Scotlandville High School before honorably serving his country in the United States Army.
In 1968, Thomas and Julia Major were united in holy matrimony. Soon after, they relocated to Chicago, where he dedicated many years of hard work to Brinks Incorporated as a trusted courier and driver. It was during their time in Chicago that they welcomed their beloved daughter, Carol.
In 2006, Thomas and Julia moved to Texas to be closer to his cherished grandson, Julian Thomas. Throughout his beautiful journey, Thomas remained steadfast in his devotion to his family, leaving a legacy of love, care, and commitment.
Loved ones left to cherish Thomas’s memory include his beloved wife, Julia D. Hudson (nee Major); his loving daughter, Carol B. Hudson; and his cherished grandson, Julian Thomas Hudson-Love.
His legacy also lives on through his sister, Lois Sanders (née Hudson); his nieces and nephews, Tonia Causey (née Sanders), Wanda Ogunrinde, Kimberly Hudson Danley (Ashley David), Nicole Hudson, Orlando Sanders (Janelle), and Gregory Hudson; and a host of extended family and friends.
Thomas was reunited in eternity with his parents, Elven and Savannah Brown Hudson; his siblings, Ruby Mae Thomas, Elvin Hudson Jr., and James Charles Hudson; and his nieces and nephews, Lydia Hudson-Givens, Karl Stephon Thomas, Lisa Thomas Sterling, Kelvin Hudson, William “Bobby” Thomas Jr., and Barbara Ann Thomas.
