Tonja Gaston, a licensed cosmetologist and life-long resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Tonja passed unexpectedly on October 17, 2021 at the age of 49. She was surrounded by her loved ones at The Ochsner Hospital, in New Orleans. The family will strive to honor her memory by living their lives to the fullest. Tonja affectionately known as Dinky, loved listening to music, going to church, laughing, cooking, eating out, shopping, cutting hair, and enjoyed being with her family and friends. Tonja was loved by everyone. Tonja touched the lives of many people with her kind and gentle heart, and generosity. She will always be loved as a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and an amazing friend. Tonja was preceded in death by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Napoleon Gaston Sr., Marshall Collins and Idell Beverly Collins; Aunt; Constance Gaston and Linda Alexander. Two sister in laws; Linda Williams and Ashley Gaston, one brother in law; Wayne Murphy. Great Aunt; Alice Fort Aunts; Delena Stewart, Carolyn Stewart and Ernestine Williams. Host of Nieces and Nephews. A devoted niece, Angie Gaston. A devoted friend Reginald Evans and Shirlaker Alexander.
