Vincent David Bowers was born on February 8, 1918 to the late Andrew and Nannie Bowers. He was one of sixteen children. He departed this life on September 17, 2017. He was a native of Laurel Hill, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. He retired from Formosa Plant with 34 years of service proudly in the U.S. Army. He leaves a legacy of fond memories to his three daughters: Brenda Jones (Willie) of Houston, TX, Velma Bowers of Baton Rouge, LA and Sharon Richard (Donald Sr.) of Zachary, LA. Eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, one God child, Joseph Phillips and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He had a great love for gardening and doing things in the yard. He was a person who had a lot of love and kindness to give. He will be cherished in our hearts forever. He is preceded in death by his wife Dorseline Bowers; his parents Andrew and Nannie Bowers; seven brothers and seven sisters.
