Walter Beals Jr. was born May 9, 1935 to the union of the late Rosetta Harrell Beals and Walter Beals Sr. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He departed this life on Tuesday, March 23, 2021in The Saint Josephs Carpenter House, Baton Rouge, LA.
Brother Walter was baptized at an early age. He was a member at the Shady Grove First Missionary Baptist Church. He was a true Christian and loved the Lord!
Brother Walter worked as a School bus driver for EBR Parish School Board and later became a Maintenance Worker at Southern University A&M College, where he retired December 1, 1989. After retirement, Walter started his own Carpentry Business building, repairing and remodeling homes in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas for years until he no longer physically could.
He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters Nancy Beals-Naff (Delma) Oklahoma, Mary and Myra Kaye Beals, Baker, one son David W. Beals (Mary Luz) Florida, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two sisters Mary Beals-Shelmire Baton Rouge and Loretta Beals (Georgia) one brother Cecil R. Beals Sr. (Baton Rouge), one Uncle Leslie Beauchamp and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife Lillie Mae Wilson Beals, both of his parents Rosetta Harrell Beals and Walter Beals Sr. two sisters, Barbara Beals (Cain) and Shirley Beals, one brother John Beals Sr. and number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
