Obituary

Brother Warren "Trip" Buchanan was born November 18th, 1956, to the late Carol and Walter Buchanan, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA. He was the third of four children. Warren accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at St. Francis Xavier; he later rededicated his life to his Lord and Savior and was baptized a second time at Bethany World Prayer Center. Warren was educated at McKinley High School. His introduction to carpentry came from his beloved uncle and grandfather Clifford Domino and Clifford Domino, Jr. He was a master carpenter who worked for P.O. Davis & Wilson, as well as MAPP Construction for well over 23 years. Retirement did not stop Warren. He continued to work on projects. The bulk of his time was dedicated to family. Warren was a steadfast, dedicated grandfather who spent time daily with his grandchildren attending athletic practice and events, recitals, and riding bikes or just hanging around the house. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Barbara Buchanan, 2 daughters: Angela Lang (Sgt. Johnny Lang III, and Shinekita Hatfield (Derrick Hatfield Sr.) all of Baton Rouge, LA; 6 grandchildren: LeConte Banks of Los Angeles, CA, Jalan Lang, Jordan Lang, Lakeia Lang, Derrick Hatfield, Jr, and Deshawn Hatfield of Baton Rouge, LA; 2 sisters: Jeannie Banford (Autry Banford, Jr) and Beverly Trahan (Charles Trahan) of Baton Rouge, LA; 1 brother: Carl Buchanan (Demetris Buchanan) of Baton Rouge, LA; 4 sister-in-laws: Joyce Rattle, Regina Cal, Lois Cerf (Roland Cerf) and Judy Stewart, all of Baton Rouge, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Warren was preceded in death by his parents: Carol and Walter Buchanan, grandparents: Sgt Joseph and Gertrude Domino; an uncle: Joseph Domino Jr; an aunt: Jackie Lewis; his mother and father-in-law: Sgt. Otis and Victoria Stewart.
