Wilbert 'Hooks' Forrest, Jr., a native of Baton Rouge, entered his heavenly home on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at The Woodleigh of Baton Rouge, he was 78. He retired from Conoco Oil Company and was the owner of several businesses Hooks Place, Gloria's Place, and Hooks Enterprise Dump Trucks. Wilbert is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Gloria Thomas Forrest; two sons, Marvin Forrest (Karla) and Mark Phillips (Patricia); two daughters, Stephanie Forrest Jones (Carl) and Cassandra Rattle (Alvin); siblings, Leroy Forrest, Gerald Brown, Sr., Jeffery Brown, and Donald Forrest; nine grandchildren, one goddaughter and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Louise Collins Brown, Wilbert Forrest, Sr., stepmother Emily Matta Forrest and a sibling, James "Jimmy" Brown. Visitation will be held at Winnfield Funeral Home at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 22, 2018 until services at 11:00am conducted by Rev. Gregory V. White. Interment at Southern Memorial on Blount Road.
