Zerlee Ellerson Criss passed away at Our Lady of Lake Hospital at the age of 91. She was a retired Librarian with Pointe Coupee School System. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 5pm to 7pm, at Winnfield Funeral Home, 7221 Plank Road, Baton Rouge, La. and will resume Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 9:00a.m. until religious service at 11:00a.m. at New St. John Baptist Church, 1455 South Street, Baton Rouge, La. Pastor W. Marshall Myles will officiate. She leaves a legacy of sweet memories for her devoted and loving family: One daughter, Connie Criss Spencer, and two sons, Frank Morris Criss Jr. and Otis Jerome Criss; a God Child, LaShawn Burns; and a step-daughter, Janice Criss; 11 Grandchildren, Rodney Criss, Garrick Williams, Jeremy Criss, Kayla Criss Turner, Zeraleigh Spencer Cole, Jessica Criss Lee, Leonard Spencer Jr, Nicole Dupas, Kirkland J. Criss, Shelby Criss and Sydney Criss; 16 Great Grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Morris Criss Sr., parents, Johnny and Mary Richardson Ellerson; two brothers, Ernest Ellison and Steven Warren Ellerson; six sisters, Minnie Brown, Dorothy Holmes, Mary Lee Willis, Irene Willis, Bessie Rooks, Johnnie Mae Holiday; and a grandson, Otis J.
