Lionel “Lonnie” Aaron Reese Sr. was born to the union of Foster Reese Jr. and Irene W. Reese on July 4, 1952.
Lonnie was baptized by the late Rev. Lawyer Fields at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Scotlandville, Louisiana.
He attended and graduated from Scotlandville High School in 1970. After attending Southern University for a year, Lonnie was employed at Exxon Refinery. In later years he worked for Lamberts Orthotics, Parkview Baptist and DeVall Middle School. He was the custodian at Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church of Scotlandville until he resigned to become a caregiver for his mother.
Lonnie married Lou Emma McIntyre and to this union one child was born, Lionel Aaron Jr.
Like his dad Foster Reese Jr., Lonnie would spend the bigger part of a day repairing lawn mowers, weed eaters and even riding lawn mowers.
Lonnie leaves to cherish his memories a devoted son, Lionel “Aaron” Reese Jr; his loving mother, Irene W. Reese; five granddaughters; one grandson; two great-granddaughters; one sister, Brendalyn Reese; two brothers, Foster III and Daryl (Sharon). Two devoted cousins, Byron Hollins, and Derrick Hollins; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
