On the night of December 27, 2020, at the age of 48, an angel whispered to our beloved Nesa and called her from earth to her eternal home.
Tarleisha Lanesa Stevenson affectionately known as “Nesa”, was born December 22, 1972 to Justine L. Walker and the late Isaac Walker, Sr. Nesa is a graduate of Belaire High School. She began her college years at Southeastern University, Hammond, Louisiana. Nesa later enrolled in the Practical Nursing Program at Delta Community College. Upon successful completion of the program, she passed the exam to pursue her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. As an LPN, Nesa worked at hospitals and medical facilities where she enjoyed caring for others. In later years, Nesa was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Although Nesa’s journey was tested by years of health challenges, she had the most cheerful, and upbeat attitude. She loved to laugh out loud and her winning smile warmed everyone’s heart. Nesa was always grateful for the expressions of love, care and attention from her family and friends.
Nesa was baptized at an early age by the late Reverend J. R. Williams at Elm Grove Baptist Church. Later years she joined North Boulevard Macedonia Full Gospel Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Clifford Sanford.
